[He thanks her but he has no intention of turning anything on other then pulling out the ipod that had come with him and turning it on.]

[She works on mixing her own drink, making it... pretty strong for the typical woman, then makes her way back into the living room to settle in on the opposite end of her couch before opening up the pizza box.] iPod? [It's been a minute since she's seen one.]

Yeah. A friend gave it to me back in my world. I have a solar charger too. One of the few things I've liked about the modern world have been the music and video games I'll admit.

Handy for the Sahara, I'm sure, [she notes, digging out her first slice of pizza.] I'm guessing... lots of classical piano and some rock. And a dash of Miley Cyrus for kicks.

[He made a face at that.]

[He handed her his earbuds so she could listen for herself.]

[She laughs and wipes her hands with a napkin to be sure they're clean before she takes one of the earbuds and listens to whatever he's playing.]

Alright, so it's not Miley, but I wasn't entirely wrong.

Better then the music during my time.

Really? Disturbed isn't bad, but have you heard Ingrid Michaelson? [Another joke, if a weak one.] What sort of music was made 'back in the day'?

[There's a soft giggle, but she offers him the earbuds back and settles in further to the corner of the couch, glancing around to take note of whatever might be nearest for her to do if he's checking out of the conversation with his iPod.]

[He's not, he's actually going to turn it off. It was just temporary while he was waiting.]

[There's a small relaxing of her shoulders when she realizes he's tucking it away. She rather likes their conversations.]

I think you would have gotten along well with my brother. His own playlists looked a lot like that.

Perhaps then. But just because you have something in common doesn't always mean you'll get along.

Oh, he got along with almost everyone. [she 'corrects' him, all the while agreeing with him in silence.] Even wise Debbie Downers.

Yes, but I'm actually an asshole, remember?

[He actually dared a smile there.]

Oh, that's right. [She mirrors his smile back.] You just keep coming up with ways to make me forget it.

Well, I'll have to work harder to remind you I guess.

[He gets a laugh.] I can't argue with that.

Maybe I just need to find ways to stay out of trouble so you don't have to keep watching over me. [Thats a little sobering, but she's still content enough.] Thanks for coming over to check on me. You didn't have to.

[He'd had to make sure she was okay.]

I can stay longer if you want, or you can just keep Noibat with you. She'll warn me if anything's wrong.

[she shrugs a little, but bites into her pizza to hide the grin.]

You're always more than welcome to stay, but if you'd rather head home, I... won't stop you. [She's hesitant to let him go, but she doesn't have it in her to ask him to stay for her own reasons. It's been enough of a blessing to have him here to talk her down at all.] I really don't think I'll be sleeping tonight either way.

[Aaaand smile gone.]

[It doesn't matter, he can see it on her face.]

I'll stay for now. Until you can calm down more at least.
