[She can't help it. She's already in a good enough mood that she won't be able to shake the smile from her face anyway, but then his voicemail is just:]
So formal.
[Someone says something to her on her end of the line, and she moves her phone away to laugh and respond before she comes back, obviously still smiling from the sound of it, but in a much more gentle seriousness.]
It's too beautiful out here for you not to come out and enjoy it, big guy. There's tons of sand here- it's right up your alley-
Free food, drinks everywhere... [She gasps.] you might even have fun.
Takes a lot more then this for the heat to get to me. I was living in the Sahara. Make sure you watch our for yourself though. Drinking hot tea as uncomfortable as it can be is a good way to stay hydrated.
The herbs the tea is made of make a difference, and consuming a hot beverage in the heat keeps your body from having to work as hard to keep you hydrated. Room temperature is okay as well, but cold drinks take more energy.
And the ocean has a habit of dehydrating people, not hydrating them. It's the salt water.
[Well that only worries him more, and it's not long before he's running out of his tent and telling his Noibat to fly around and try to find her. He does send another text though.]
[Except she didn't sound fine and he's a stubborn bastard who doesn't listen to anyone so he's running towards her apartment already and won't be stopping until he gets there while his Noibat keeps a close eye on her.]
As soon as he was able, Styxx moved to sit in the theatre seats where the audience would normally sit, planning to at least enjoy the rehearsal now that he'd shot down and escaped the manager for the time being anyway.
Dove would eventually make her way to check in with the staff and provide the necessary documentation before shown to where the other talent would be waiting and warming up. When her agent was done fawning over her and asking questions around the stage, he'd slip into the crowd as well, waiting for a few of the first auditions to take place before finding a proper seat just a few spaces down from Styxx. While the directors spoke with another young woman, he'd lean forward over the seat to chat. "What do you think so far? Are you a theatre fan or just here to support your uh... 'friend'?"
"Ah, that's good, that's good. Ever heard her sing? There's a lot of talent crossing that stage, but I'd bet my girl against any one of them." He smirks. "Told them day one we'd be wasting her just with print."
"Indeed, indeed.." Here's to hoping Styxx isn't too interested in the next woman's performance, because Stephen's going to just lower his volume and talk through it at him. "The whole modeling thing really isn't too hard, you know, when you've got the looks for it." Might be a bit of a lie, but... he might also still be trying to sway him. "Show up, get pampered, look nice for a while, surrounded by pretty women and fit men. She's a rockstar at it, heh."

The last thing you need to worry about is me getting dehydrated. The ocean's my bestie now, remember?
[....she does send a second text though.]
...why hot tea though? Why not just water?

Re: Text
[Sorry, she's a multiple text kind of gal... and she's kind of grimacing to herself that her joke didn't quite make it. Oops.]
Definitely wouldn't drink it. Don't think I'll be visiting it any time soon, either to be honest.

"I enjoy the theatre, but I'm also here to support Dove as a friend."
A simple enough answer.
