"Yes, it does seem that I'm stuck with you." He said with a small smile. The only other friend he'd really had before here was Urian and now his best friend wasn't even here. That left him with Dove who looked so much like Bet. Was so much like her in general. It was a strange feeling, and yet he couldn't help but gravitate towards her.
The smile she attempts to bite back is so genuine she's almost embarrassed. She ducks her head with a soft laugh, then pushes her hair back from her face and meets his gaze once more. "You're not really the hugging type, are you? Because I won't lie, I'm tempted."
"No, not really." He replied with a frown. She wasn't going to try and hug him was she because friend or not, there were certain things that he didn't think he could deal with and that was one of them.
She lifts her hands in defeat and stays back. "Alright, alright..." She won't go ruining the moment, and could feel the discomfort at the very idea. "How about food? I'm starving, and you probably need a drink after sitting with Stephen that long."
"You're probably right. And my apologies for not saying it before Dove but it was wonderful." What he'd been able to concentrate on despite Stephen anyway.
She dramatically rolls her eyes. "Now he comes forth with the compliments," she laughs, stepping around him to lead the way up the main aisle of the theatre. "I'm glad you enjoyed it. There was a lot of talent on that stage." Even some of the performers who hadn't quite made it had been excellent.
She slides out and holds the door as she's the first to reach it. "I still can't believe I'm in a world where it's even feasible for me to try this out."
"Physically? Yes," she shrugs. "Smart... eh....I sort of got myself into hot water when I was young as it was. They prefer we blend in when we're amongst humans and I was already modeling by fourteen... Adding much else to that would have brought on a lot more attention and it just makes thing more complicated for everyone."
Which... she sort of had done anyway.
"I got away with it then because grandad pulled some strings but as archangel now with no heir, it's not exactly the safest..."

Yeah, she could see them from her place on stage.

And she'd bask in that freedom as long as it would have her.
